Decode is delivered by the team behind In Equilibrium, an established learning and development consultancy with over 30 years of experience. In Equilibrium has worked with schools, NHS Trusts, FTSE 100 companies, national charities, universities and public sector organisations across the UK and internationally.
Decode is their specialist programme for mainstream secondary schools.

Michelle Spirit
Decode is led by Michelle Spirit, Director of In Equilibrium. She has over 30 years of experience in learning and development, a clinical background in mental health nursing, a Master's in Human Resource Development, and is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.
She is the author of Worry Less, Live More (Badger Publishing, 2025).
How Decode was built
Decode was developed in consultation with practising teachers and education professionals, and built from direct experience of what mainstream secondary schools actually need.
It is designed to be immediately usable — practical tools from the next lesson, not just theory.
